PAYMENTS
Payments are securely made via PayPal. You don't need a PayPal account to pay this way and you can pay using most major credit/debit cards.
It is possible to pay by bank transfer or cheque but the funds would need to clear before your order can go into production. Please contact me for details if you wish to pay this way.
Tainted Love is not V.A.T. registered at present.
DELIVERY
As rubber clothes weigh more than normal clothes, postage charges have been calculated as to the accurate weight of your order.
Orders are always sent with a 'signed for' service. In the UK this will be Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery and overseas by Royal Mail International Signed For. You will receive an e mail once your order has been dispatched with your Tracking Code.
For overseas customers, it is possible to send orders Airmail which is cheaper, but there is no tracking of the order and no signiature upon delivery. Please contact me if you require a different shipping method.
Orders weighing over 2kg will be sent by courier, again you will be notified when it has been dispatched with your Tracking Code.
If your country of residence is not found on the drop down menu at checkout please contact me for shipping charges to your country.
PLEASE NOTE : Unfortunately PayPal will only accept the billing address as the address for delivery so if you'd prefer to have your order sent to a different address, just let me know. Thank you.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
In accordance with UK Distance Selling Regulations you have a 7 day 'cooling off' period from the day you receive your order. During this time, for whatever reason, you can return the goods and recieve a full refund of their value including postage. You can also exchange your order for a different product if you prefer. Either way the goods must be returned using a 'signed for' service and must be un-worn and in a re-sellable condition.

QUALITY
All goods are hand made in London to very high standards. The style, fit, quality, attention to detail and finishing touches of my garments makes them superior, quality, designer rubber wear. I have over 17 years of experience in the Design and manufacture of rubber clothing and take great pride in my work. I only use high quality materials, making sure all garments are expertly made and will be dispatched polished, and ready to wear.
HANDMADE STRAPWORK - all the belting & straps used with Tainted Love's clothes is handmade using heavy duty canvas that is layered on both sides with thick (0.8) rubber. It gives a heavy duty look without the weight or stiffness of other materials making it very strong but comfortable.
TURNED EDGING - Turned edging is a new technique I've introduced into the manufacture of rubber clothing. Usually when a trim is applied to a garment it is glued to the outside of the garment only and is more of a detailed decoration. With turned edging, the trim is applied to the outside of the garment is then folded over the edge, and glued to the inside also. Not only does it look great, it gives the garment more strength and an authentic 'constructed' look.
You can choose your colour combinations for each garment from the drop down menu. Latex Rubber comes in an amazing selection of colours, but at present it's not possible for me to carry every colour in the grades I work with but if you see a garment that you'd like in a colour not listed, just get in touch and I'll see what I can do for you.
CUSTOM WORK & MADE TO MEASURE
Whilst I enjoy making the garments already featured on this website, I also enjoy bringing other peoples ideas to life too. I have done many private commissions in the past to great sucess and would be happy to discuss any ideas you may have.
I also offer a Made to Measure service. Sometimes it can just be a case of making a few alterations to an existing pattern which can probably be done free of charge. If it is a more complicated piece and more time is involved to make a new pattern then there will be an additional charge for this.

RUBBER CARE
For most of us Rubber clothing is a luxury item. There is nothing to compare with the feel of wearing rubber clothes but if you want them to last they do need a little more love than the rest of your wardrobe. So here's some suggestions to help you be happy together for years........
It's easier to put tight garments on if the inside is lightly dusted with talc. The glossy surface of Latex Rubber can be permanently scratched if you polish it with a dry cloth so make sure not to let your polishing cloth dry out. Fingernails can scratch it too, some people even wear cotton gloves when putting their rubber on.
The natural gloss of Rubber can be enhanced by polishing lightly with a silicone based polish, but the Rubber polish available from Tainted Love (in 'Accessories') is particularly recommended and widely used by many people.
Oils, greases and solvents can destroy rubber so don't use any oil based lubricants, polishes or creams.
I think it's always advisable to wash your rubber after each use. Wash it in lukewarm water with a little mild detergent and then rinse it a couple of times. Shake off excess water and hang it up to dry out of direct sunlight. Once dry lightly powder with talc on both sides and store in a black plastic bag.
Accidents can happen and although rubber is strong, it's not indesrtructible. A tiny hole caught on a sharp object can quickly lead to a large tear so always take care with sharps or flailing cigarette ends!
Latex Rubber, especially light colours can permanently stain brown in contact with copper, brass or bronze.
